THE SURROUNDING OF THE ESCULLOS
The multiple charm of the bay in the Escullos convert this in an unpredictable
place, they form together with the Isleta del Moro and Rodalquilar. The
heart of the Nature Park of Cabo de Gata.
Three places call our attention:

The beach called The Arco, is one of the beaches
more spacious, and looked after in the park. They are limited by
a spectacular fosil dune with there rare forms decorating the landscape.

The castle of San Felipe constructed in XVIII
centuary and ordered by Carlos III, for the defense of the coast,
in now converted in a centre of marine interpretation.

The Esparto beach or Piedra Galera; it´s
beauty has erosioned the zone of the embarcadero beach and it´s
fantastic volcanic forms, and it´s beautiful deep oceans up
to San Jose.
